Mr Robert Sutcliffe

Robert has worked as a Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham since 2011.

His major subspecialist interest is minimally invasive surgery, and he has played a major role in establishing the laparoscopic HPB programme in Birmingham.

Robert has been a faculty member and course organiser for a number of laparoscopic courses and he has translated his laparoscopic experience into establishing a laparoscopic adrenalectomy service in Birmingham and also has gained experience in the surgical treatment of diaphragmatic endometriosis.

Robert’s clinical and research interests include perioperative care, surgical oncology and minimally invasive surgery, and he has co-authored over 180 peer-reviewed publications.
